Clearance Warning ECU Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is the power source circuit to operate the clearance warning ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG No. 1)


(a) Remove the ECU-IG No. 1 fuse from the main body ECU.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

ECU-IG No. 1 fuse

Always

Below 1 Ω

(c) Install the fuse.

OK

2.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVE MONITOR SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


(a) Disconnect the J2 drive monitor switch connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

J2-7 (IG) - Body ground

Ignition switch ON

11 to 14 V

(c) Reconnect the drive monitor switch connector.

OK

3.

INSPECT DRIVE MONITOR SWITCH


(a) Remove the drive monitor switch METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: DRIVE MONITOR SWITCH: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

7 (IG) - 8 (SK)

Clearance sonar main switch ON

Below 1 Ω

Clearance sonar main switch OFF

10 kΩ or higher

(c) Install the drive monitor switch METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: DRIVE MONITOR SWITCH: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia) .

OK

4.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - DRIVE MONITOR SWITCH)


(a) Disconnect the H43 clearance warning ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the J2 drive monitor switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

H43-10 (IG) - J2-8 (SK)

Always

Below 1 Ω

H43-10 (IG) - Body ground

Always

10 kΩ or higher

H43-21 (E) - Body ground

(d) Reconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.

(e) Reconnect the drive monitor switch connector.

OK
